Completed in 1843, the church could easily accommodate a congregation of 150 persons. The total cost of the construction then, had come to approximately Nine Thousand Rupees. Along the walls of the interior of the church are inlaid mural tablets inscribed in the memory of some of the oldest residents of Darjeeling, chief among them being Lieutenant General A. Lloyd, the person who credited with laying the foundation of Darjeeling.
