PETERSFIELD.
12TH HANTS RIFLE VOLUNTEER CORPS.—At the fifth annual rifle contest of the 3rd Administrative Battalion of Hants Rifle Volunteers, which came off at Botley on Wednesday, the 12th Hants Corps was very successful, four prizes falling to their share out of the seven which were contended for. The winners were Captain Seward, Sergts. Caplin and Glasse, and Private Wynn. The annual prize firing of the corps is to take place at Butser Hill, at the end of next month. Vide advertisement.

RIFLE SHOOTING.—At the annual battalion rifle contest which took place at Botley on the 20th instant, the first and second prizes were won by members of the 8th Hants (Botley) company, viz., Ensign Clark, first prize, battalion cup, value £10, and Colour-Serjeant Fox, second prize, £4. The remainder of the prizes were taken by members of the 12th Hants (Petersfield) company.
