12TH HANTS RIFLE VOLUNTEERS.—The following excellent sore was made a few evenings ago at Helmington Bottom, by Serjeant Caplin, in his 3rd class practice, as registered by Lieut. R. G. P. Minty, viz.:—

making 72 points, including fourteen bull’s-eyes, eight being in succession. On the following evening Serjeant Caplin fired at the same ranges for class register with the following result:—

making a total of 69 points. Serjeant Caplin also shot his second class, making 19 hits out of 20 rounds, but, not having the score, we must reserve the same for a future opportunity.
