12th HANTS RIFLE VOLUNTEER CORPS.—The members of the Petersfield division of this corps met in the market square on Wednesday evening in full uniform, and were formally inspected by Captain Chawner. There is a marked improvement in their drill evolutions, which is highly creditable alike to themselves and to Sergeant-Major Allen. Captain Chawner has also been most indefatigable in his attention to their progress. We have it on good authority that the two divisions intend meeting on Thursday next (Coronation Day), at the rifle practice ground near Butler Hill for united drill, the time of meeting to be three o’clock p.m.
