PETERSFIELD.

DISCOVERY OF THE LOST CATTLE.—The 13 stock beasts purchased on Tuesday, the 13th ult., at Kingston Fair, Surrey, by Mr. Thomas Maxwell, of Nursted Farm, near Petersfield, and consigned to a strange drover to be driven to Mr. Maxwell’s home, and which we reported on the 24th inst. as missing, have just been discovered at Bridston, near the ‟Three Bridges Station,” on the London and Brighton Railway. Their non-arrival at the proper time caused handbills to be distributed, offering a reward for their recovery, the mishap occurring through mis-directions being given to the drover previous to his leaving Kingston; no blame appears to be attached to the drover West.
