INTERESTING MARRIAGE.—On Tuesday last a marriage took place between Thomas Crawter, Esq., of Cobham, Surrey, and Miss Catherine Chase, seventh daughter of the late John Chase. Esq... of Bowyer’s Place, Steep. The bridal party having assembled at Broad Bush, proceeded at 11 o’clock in three pair horse and two one-horse carriages to the parish church, where the bridegroom was in waiting to receive them. Upon alighting the fair bride who was charmingly attired in a dress of rich white silk, trimmed with white satin and burnou of Brussels lace, with bonnet composed of white chip, Maltese lace, ostrich feather and fall, and attended by six bridesmaids in chaste and handsome dresses with friends entered the church, where a large number of persons had congregated. The Rev. Henry Haigh, M.A., officiated, and at the conclusion of the service ‟the merry church bells” sent forth a lively peal, during which the procession returned to Broad Bush, where a large circle, including the Rev. gentleman, sat down to a sumptuous breakfast, and at two o’clock the newly married couple left by way of Southampton upon their marriage tour.
