DEPARTURE OF TROOPS.
R.H. ARTILLERY.—‟I” Battery, under the command of Captain Saunders, marched from the East Block Permanent Barracks on Monday, en route to Bristol, whence they will embark for Dublin.
2nd BATTALION 20th REGIMENT.—This Battalion marched from the Centre Block Permanent Barracks, Tuesday, en route to Portsmouth. The bands of the 26th Cameronians and the 76th Regiment played the battalion out for some distance. On Tuesday night they encamped at Woolmer, on Wednesday marched to Petersfield, and three other detached villages, where they put up for the night, and on Thursday marched into Portsmouth, where they occupy the Anglesea Barracks.

The 1st battalion 24th Regiment, under the command of Col. E. Woodhouse, arrived at Aldershot on Thursday, from Portsmouth, by march route. The regiment left Portsmouth on Tuesday morning, in three detachments, halting that night at Emsworth, Havant, Petersfield, and Westbourne. On the following day they marched from Woolmer’s Forest and took possession of the cantonments vacated that morning by the 2d battalion 20th Regiment.
