PETERSFIELD.
ROYAL ARTILLERY.—The ‟I” Battery, 4th Brigade Royal Artillery, came into this town on Tuesday from Hilsea, en route for Woolwich, where they are to embark for New Zealand. They comprise the following officers: Lieut.-Colonel Barstow, Captain Martin, Lieutenants Toogood, Donithorke, and Robson, with 94 horses and six Armstrong 12-pounder guns. They were billeted here for the night, and left on Wednesday morning for Godalming. The above well-conducted body of officers and men, having become known to us from having been billeted in the town upon four different occasions within the last two years, carry with them, to their distant destination, the best wishes and esteem of those with whom they were more intimately brought into contact during their several sojourns.
