ACCIDENT FROM A BULL— One of those not altogether uncommon accidents from a bull happened last week to a man named John Woodger, aged 71, a cowman in the employ of Mr. William Ayling, of Andler's Ash, at New Barn Farm, Liss. It appears that Woodger was in the act of fastening the animal up in the stall when the distempered brute became violent, and suddenly butted the unlucky man, with his back to the wall—fortunately protecting his breast by the animal's horns being, on each side of his body, but not, however, without serious injury to his chest from pressure, and to one of his arms from a horn of the beast. We are pleased to add that from the regular habits of the poor man, who has been in the service of Mr. Ayling for many years, with the prompt and skilful treatment of Dr. Leachman, great hopes are entertained of his early recovery.
