PETERSFIELD.]—ACCIDENT.—On Monday last, an accident occurred on the new line of railway now in construction at Mapledurham, in the parish of Weston, near Petersfield, to a workman by the name of Ansell, who was knocked down by a muck waggon and run over, and but for the active exertions of a fellow workman by the name of Pennicott, who, at the risk of his life sprung forward and drew the wounded man away from the line, and prevented a large number of wagons heavily laden with earth from passing over him, he must have been crushed to death.
