PORTER WANTED

     THE Guardians of this Union are in want of an active middle-aged Single Man or Widower, without children, as PORTER, of the UNION WORKHOUSE. The salary will be £15 per annum, with Board, Lodging, and Washing in the House.

     Applications in the hand writing of the Candidates, stating age, previous occupation, &c., accompanied with testimonials as to character and competency, to be forwarded to me before the 27th instant.

     Preference will be given to one who can Shave and Cut Hair, if otherwise qualified.

     The Election will take place on the 29th instant, in the Board Room of the Union Workhouse, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon. Candidates may attend at their own expense if they think proper to do so. The person elected will be required to enter on the performance of his duties forthwith.—By order,
