PETERSFIELD, Saturday, September 21

AMEY'S DESSICATED MILK.—Our neighbouring dairy farmer, Mr. Thomas Amey, of the Rushes and Steep Marsh Farm, having entered into a contract with the Commissioners of Her Majesty's Navy for a supply of his "desiccated milk," this week executed the first order, to be delivered at Deptford. On Saturday we were somewhat surprised at seeing a number of novel-looking cases delivered at the station, and upon inquiry learnt they contained the "desiccated milk" from the newly-established factories in the neighbourhood, being the last portion of 10,000 imperial quart packages forwarded within the week, and completing the first order. We were also informed that the manufacturer had engaged to supply any quantity demanded by the Commissioners upon twenty-eight days' notice being given.

During the present week about 10,000 imperial quart cases have been delivered at the victualling stores at Deptford.
