PETERSFIELD, July 18.
THE PRIDE OF THE VALLEY LODGE OF ODDFELLOWS held their anniversary on Tuesday. The members met at their Lodge-room at half-past 10, where they fell in, and, headed by the Havant brass (Volunteer Rifle) band, proceeded to church, where an appropriate and impressive sermon was preached by the Rev. J. M. Sumner. After returning from church a procession was formed, headed by the band, and marched round the town, the splendid banners and neat sashes giving quite an imposing effect to the scene. Dinner was provided at the Dolphin, when about 100 sat down to a capital dinner, which was served up in Mr. Crafts usual style. The chair was filled by our esteemed Rector, who was supported by several of the gentry of the town. We are glad to find that the society is in a very flourishing condition.
