THE BENEFIT SOCIETY.—On Monday last the anniversary of the Petersfield Benefit Society was held at the Bell Inn; the weather being very fine there was a great many people assembled towards the evening, and the merry strains from the Compton band quite enlivened our quiet town. Every praise was given to the worthy host, Mr. William Moon, for the excellent dinner provided, and in spite of his good home brewed strong ale, everything went off quietly
