BENEFIT SOCIETY ANNIVERSARY.—On Monday the annual meeting of the Petersfield friendly society assembled at the Bell Inn, when members, preceded by a band, paraded the streets, and upon return at 10 o'clock sat down to a bountiful spread provided by host Moore. On Tuesday the Union Benevolent Society held their anniversary, and sat down at one o'clock to a substantial dinner in the market room, provided by host Luff.
