PETERSFIELD

Agent—Mr. G. DUPLOCK

The annual meeting of ratepayers was held on Monday last at the Town-hall, when the Inspectors’ accounts for the past year were examined and passed. A vote of 115l. for the expenses of the current year was proposed and carried unanimously. Mr. C. Hoar, who retired by rotation, was re-appointed as inspector, and Mr. Duplock was elected to fill the vacancy caused by the retirement of Mr. Collins, who has left the town.
At the bench on Tuesday there was no case possessing the slightest public interest, the only ones being an application for ejectment and a case of vagrancy
