LIBRARY AND READING ROOM. — This very useful and valuable institution has just presented its annual report to the subscribers, by which we find that owing to the energy of the committee and the liberality of some of the neighbouring gentry and townspeople, the debt which has been so long a dead weight upon the society has been cleared off. We trust that this society will meet with a more generous support from the tradesmen of Petersfield in future, as its advantages must be invaluable to the young men of the town, and there is still a large number of tradesmen who do not belong to it.
