THE BANKRUPTCY ACT, 1861
NOTICE OF ADJUDICATIONS AND FIRST MEETING OF CREDITORS
JOHN JEFFERY POWELL, of Petersfield, in the County of Hants, Surveyor, having been adjudged Bankrupt under a Petition for Adjudication of Bankruptcy filed in the County Court of Hampshire, holden at Petersfield, on the 15th day of May, 1862, is hereby required to surrender himself to Mr. Charles John Mellersh, Registrar of the said Court, at the First Meeting of Creditors, to be held before the said Registrar on the 16th day of June, at 12 o’Clock at Noon precisely, at the said Court.
Mr. Charles John Mellersh, of Petersfield, is the Official Assignee, and Mr. Richard George Pern Minty, of Petersfield, the Solicitor in the Bankruptcy.
Public Sittings will be appointed by the Court for the said Bankrupts to pass their last examinations, of which due notice will be given in the London Gazette. At the said first meeting of Creditors the Registrar will receive the proofs of the debts of the Creditors, and the Creditors may choose an Asignee of the Bankrupts’ Estate and Effects. At the public sitting proofs of debts of creditors will also be received, and the said Bankrupts will be required to submit themselves to be examined, and to make a full disclosure and discovery of all their Estates and Effects, and to finish their examinations.
Notice is also hereby given to all persons indebted to any of the said Bankrupts, or that have any of their Effects, not to deliver the same but to the Official Assignee, and to give notice to the Solicitor acting in the Bankruptcy.
