PETERSFIELD
BANKRUPTCY OF A BARONET.—In Re Sir Alfred Joseph Tichborne, Bart.—On Monday there was a dividend meeting under the bankruptcy of this youthful baronet, who was described as of Tichbourne Park, Alresford, Hants. The failure occurred some months since, the bankrupt’s debts being stated at between £30,000 and £35,000. Messrs. Lawrence and Co., the solicitors to the assignees, have been for some time engaged in realising from the bankrupt’s estate a sum of money sufficient to pay a dividend of 20s. in the pound to all creditors. It was now stated that no doubt within a short period a sufficient amount will be realised to discharge all liabilities in full. A sum of £26,000 is now actually in hand, applicable to the payment of a dividend of 15s. in the pound.
