PETERSFIELD.
BOARD OF GUARDIANS.—THE CHOLERA.— A special meeting of the guardians of the Petersfield Union, was held in the Board Room, on Thursday last, in accordance with the order of the Privy Council in exercise of the powers given by the ‟Diseases Prevention Act, 1855” and the Amending Act of the 23rd and 24th year of her Majesty, chap. 77 when the preliminary arrangements in connection therewith was entered into. Mr. Ebenezer Durman, district surveyor, was appointed inspector of nuisances, for the several parishes comprising the union, and the minister and churchwarden of every parish were requested to co-operate. An inspection immediately commenced of the premises from house to house throughout the town of Petersfield.
