PETERSFIELD.
BURGLARY.—On Monday night last the residence of the Rev. H. Haigh was broken into and a quantity of valuable plate stolen. The thieves appear to have effected an entrance by the kitchen, and were evidently "professional" hands, as they helped themselves to silver plate only, and rejected some plated articles which stood side by side with those of more value, and so noiseless were they in their operations that the family was not disturbed, and the robbery was only discovered when the servants came down in the morning. Previous to their raid at Heath Lodge, the burglars paid a visit to Heath House, the residence of the Hon. H. H. Jolliffe, M.P., but the family being at present from home there were no valuables sufficiently tempting, and they decamped without any spoil.
