PETERSFIELD.]—FISHING.—During the present week immense numbers of carp, tench, pike, eels, and perch have been taken out of the heath pond at Petersfield, while basking at the edge of the water. It is supposed that the intense heat and thundery weather has been the sole cause of disturbing the finny tribe. Several cart loads have been taken away, and sold, some of the carp weighing 20lbs. each.
