PETERSFIELD.]—PETTY SESSIONS.—At the Town Hall on Tuesday, the 26th inst., Charlotte Kent, a poor widow, was ordered by the relieving officer of the Petersfield Union, to attend before the Bench touching her parochial settlement, and an order was made for her removal to Bucklesbury, in Berkshire, a parish belonging to the Bradford Union, near Reading. This poor, disabled, and afflicted widow, in her 74th year, is a resident in one of the late Miss Parr’s Alms-houses, in the parish of Sheet, adjoining Petersfield parish, was removed by a magistrates’ order about the end of September, 1855, to the before named Union, from which place she returned to her own cottage after staying a few days only, in consequence of their refusing her out door relief, since which she has been subsisting entirely upon charity, occasionally nearly starved to death, having a bad leg, also labouring under a preternatural eruption.
