THE CABBAGE PILFERER.—On Tuesday last before J. Waddington, Esq., Charlotte Lambert, residing in the College-street, pleaded guilty to stealing a cabbage from the garden of Mr. Oliver Longland (late superintendent of police for this district), on Wednesday, the 20th May. The facts have appeared in a much more lively form than they assumed in the hands of the worthy ex-superintendent, and defendant had to pay 5s. penalty, 1d. cabbage, and 9s. 6d. costs.
