THE CHURCH BUILDING SOCIETY.—The general committee of this society met on Monday last—the Earl of Romney in the chair. Grants of money were made in aid of the erection of churches at Dunham, in the parish of Thornton-on-the-Moors; and Over, near Northwick, Cheshire; Exeter, St. Mary Magdalene; Michigan, Truro; and in a district of the parish of All Saints, Maidstone; and towards enlarging or otherwise increasing the accommodation in the churches at Stoke, near Coventry; Bicknor near Maidstone; Holy Trinity, Ely; Hawkley, near Petersfield, Hants; and Kirmington, near Ulceby, Lincoln. The grant formerly made towards rebuilding, the church at Spettisbury was increased, under the very urgent circumstances represented. The grant to Whitchurch, near Monmouth, was renewed, it having been cancelled.
