CHURCH PASTORAL AID SOCIETY. — Sermons were preached in the Parish Church on Sunday last by the Rev. C. H. Miller, in behalf of the above Society, and on Monday evening a public meeting was held in the National School Room, at which the Rev. J. M. Sumner presided, when the claims of the Society were further advocated by the Chairman, Rev. C. H. Miller, (Deputation), Rev. T. Floud, and Rev. H. Haigh. There was a large attendance, and the collections both at the church and at the meeting were very satisfactory.
