PETERSFIELD.—CORONATION DAY.—From a hand-bill circulated throughout the town, we observe that Tuesday, being Coronation day, business will be pretty generally suspended, and on that day the annual festival of the Wesleyans, of Froxfield, is advertised to take place on Stoner Hill, a distance of about two miles from the Railway Station. A large tent is to be erected, and tea provided at 1s. each, with all kind of refreshments for the visitors. Arrangements are made with the railway officials for the issuing of second class return tickets from London to Petersfield at 5s. 6d., which includes a good tea for each passenger. This will be a treat of no ordinary kind to all those who desire a real day’s pleasure. On the top of this hill there is a most commanding view of Hants, Sussex, Surrey, and Kent. Nothing can surpass the beautiful picturesque scenery from this enchanting spot, which is not to be equalled. The beautiful sea view, and the railway train on its way after leaving Buriton Tunnell, is not lost to view for many miles. An early application for tickets, per rail, to the Rev. G. P. Hestor, of Alton, is desirable.
