A match at cricket was played on Horndean Down on Monday last, between the Horndean, Petersfield, and Hambledon Club and the Westbourne Club, but time would not allow it to be played out. Owing to an accident received by Captain Bower, of the Westbourne Club, Carter was substituted for him in the second innings, which was a great loss to Westbourne. The following was the score:—
