PETERSFIELD.
CRICKET.—ELEVEN OF GUILDFORD v. ELEVEN OF PETERSFIELD.—On Tuesday the return match between the above clubs took place on the Heath, but did not commence till one o'clock, in consequence of the unfavourable state of the weather, and was continued through the day. The splendid play of Mr. Foster was greatly appreciated by all upon the ground, and it is pleasing to notice that the secretary (Mr. Underdown), on the part of the club, presented him with one of Cobbett's best cane-handled bats, to mark their admiration of his fine batting, and of the largest individual score ever known to have been made on the Heath.
