PETERSFIELD v. FARNHAM.A match had been arranged for Monday last between the Petersfield and Farnham clubs, to be played on Petersfield Heath, but owing to the extremely unfavourable state of the weather, the game was not sufficiently advance to call for a detailed score. The following is all we can report: Petersfield having won the toss sent Underdown and G. H. Seward to the wickets, who scored 71 before they parted, after which the score was run up to 174 for eight wickets, and here the game terminated, Farnham not having had a chance of handling the willow, but their bowling and fielding, especially when the state of the weather is taken into account, was highly creditable. The Buriton band was in attendance during the afternoon.
