CRICKET—PETERSFIELD v. ALTON.—The return match between these clubs came off on the Heath on Thursday. The weather was cheering. Only one innings each was played—much good play was exhibited. The Altonians showed some first-rate fielding, but unfortunately for their score, the Petersfieldians had the advantage with the willow, and will, in the ensuing season, be happy to meet their Alton friends again.
