PETERSFIELD.]—DISTRESSING ACCIDENT.—On Monday, a grand-child staying with its grandfather, Mr. W. Bailey, of Sheet, roamed from the house to the garden, and near a pigstye was a small open cesspool, about 18 inches deep, into which the little innocent creature fell, and was drowned, life being quite extinct before the discovery. The deceased was one year and ten months old.
