AN ELOPEMENT.—On Saturday, the 31st ult., a considerable degree of excitement was caused in the town in consequence of a respectable female being non est, she having on the previous evening, eloped with a sergeant-major, holding a commission under Queen Victoria. A quick pursuit took place by the parents, the result of which we are at present unable to give.
