LISS.—ENGLISH ACQUIRED IN HALF AN HOUR!—On Tuesday evening a travelling caravan rested for the night at the Spread Eagle Inn, on its way to Petersfield fair. The exhibitor announced to the public of Liss that within was to be seen a second Esau, his face and hands being hairy, and as he was a native of South Africa, his language was quite unintelligible to the public. In half an hour afterwards, however, hunger compelled our South African wonder to enter the shop of Mr. Ed. Mells and ask for a loaf of bread for his supper, which he did in very good English.
