PETERSFIELD.—Early on Wednesday morning a fire broke out at Bramshot paper mills, and a messenger was immediately despatched to Alton, from whence two fire engines were sent off as soon as possible, under the superintendence of Mr. Blake, the engineer, who arrived there about five o’clock, and, by the praiseworthy exertions of himself and many who were there, prevented the spreading of the devouring element. It is reported that between £2000 and £3000 worth of property was destroyed, some of which is insured.
