PETERSFIELD

On Sunday, the 9th instant, a fire broke out in the  dwelling-house of Mr. Edward Bone, at Bell's Farm, Liss, in the absence of the family while at church, and in consequence of the wind blowing a perfect hurricane at the time, two barns and a cart-house and one waggon were totally consumed, with the whole of the household furniture, &c. The fire originated through a spark falling on the thatch of the dwelling-house, which was seen by some person at a short distance to issue from the chimney. Unfortunately none of the  property destroyed is insured.
