PETERSFIELD.—FIRE.—On Thursday afternoon, about four o’clock, a fire broke out at ‟The Seven Stars” public house, on Stroud Common, near Petersfield. The entire premises were burnt to the ground in two hours, and a great quantity of the furniture was destroyed. Fortunately there was no loss of life, but the landlady, who was in bed, having given birth to a child only two days previously, narrowly escaped being burnt. She and the child were rescued in a blanket.
