FISHING EXTRAORDINARY.—At the fishing of Harting Great Pond, on the estate of Lady Featherston, a few days since, there were about 900 fine carp taken (some of which weighed 24½ pounds), 300 tench, and more than a ton  weight of eels. There were only about 40 pike, but what was wanting in number was made up in size. One, for instance, weighed 27½ pounds, and was doing all he could to weigh more, as two carp were in his inside, one four pounds weight and the other, two. All her ladyship’s  labourers had a supply of fish. Altogether, above 300 fish were given away on the occasion.
