On Thursday, October 8th, 1863 at one for two o’clock in the afternoon precisely, at the Angel Inn, in Midhurst, by direction of the trustees under the will of the late John Wood, Esq., deceased.
ALL that desirable LEASEHOLD MESSUAGE or DWELLING HOUSE with the outbuildings, WATER CORN MILL, having a good supply of water, driving four pairs of stones, known as ‟Terwick Mill,” with the mill stones, mill wheels and going gear, and the ponds, banks, bays, water, watercourses, flood gates and sluices thereto belonging, with a piece or parcel of FREEHOLD LAND, called ‟Mill Meadow,” containing about 2a. 2r. 30p. (more or less), all in the parish of Terwick, in the county of Sussex, and let on lease to Mr. James Allan, at a yearly rental of £100.
The property is subject to a land tax of 15s. per annum. The leasehold portion of the property Is held for a term of 1,000 years from the 9th November, 1699, at the yearly rent of 1s. 6d.
