THE GREATHAM HIGHWAY RATE.—This case came on before Mr. Baron Martin and a special jury, in the Nisi Prius Court at the late Assizes at Winchester. Mr. M. Smith, Mr. Poulden, and Mr. T. W. Saunders were counsel for the prosecution, and Mr. Collier and Mr. Karslake for the defence. The indictment was for the non-repair of a road over a common. The evidence failed to show that there was in truth any road. The jury found the defendant not guilty.
