GUILDFORD, CHICHESTER, PORTSMOUTH AND FAREHAM RAILWAY.

     The object of this Bill was to construct a line of railway from Guildford to Chichester, and from Fareham to Portsmouth, with branches to Petersfield and Itchenor. The length of the line was seventy miles, including the branches, and the amount of capital was 250,000l. There were two petitions against the Bill, which were referred for further instruction, no one appearing in their support.

     In the absence of one of the witnesses, the further consideration of the Bill was adjourned til Thursday next.
