SENTENCES ON PRISONERS.
… Elizabeth Walder, convicted of obtaining goods under false pretences from John Henry Brown and George White Newman, of Buriton and Petersfield, was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment.
John Voakes, convicted of stealing money to the amount of 9s. 6d. the property of George Voakes, of Liss, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment.
Lucy Commons, charged with stealing a £5 note, £5 7s. 6d. in money, and some articles belonging to Ann Winshbank, at Hawkley, was sentenced to four months’ imprisonment.
Richard and William Winchester, indicted for stealing two bushels of winnowed wheat, at Bramshott, the property of Benjamin Butler, were acquitted.
