THE HAMPSHIRE POLICE AND BLOODHOUNDS.—In the County Treasurer’s Account (Form No. 2, showing the detail of expenditure under the head of ‟Divisional Expenses and Contingencies” for the year 1858-59), there appears a total charge for ‟Keep of Bloodhounds,” of £34 7s. 6d.; and the items making that total charge apply to the divisions of Alton, Andover, Kingsclere, New Forest, Odiham, Petersfield, Ringwood, Romsey, and Winchester.
