THE 2ND ADMINISTRATIVE BATTALION HANTS RIFLE VOLUNTEERS — In consequence of the partial dissolution of the 3rd Battalion Hampshire Rifles, the head-quarters of which were at Fareham, the above battalion has recently received a large accession of strength. The corps which were formerly a part of the 3rd and have now joined the 2nd are the 7th Hants (Fareham), 12th (Petersfield), 17th (Titchfield), and 20th (Wickham). The battalion—comprising the above corps and those of Havant, Portsmouth, Gosport, and Cosham—will parade at head-quarters, Landport, on Monday evening next, for drill on Southsea Common, under the command of Lieut.-Colonel H. R. Twyford.
