HASLEMERE
SABBATH SCHOOL.—The anniversary of the congregational sabbath school was held on the 20th inst. The Rev. R. Ashton, secretary of the Congregational Union, preached two excellent and profitable sermons. On the following day the children were addressed by the Rev. W. Heal, of Elstead. In the evening the usual public meeting was held — H. Appleton, Esq., in the chair. The Rev. T. Davis, of Godalming, read an excellent paper on Sunday school teaching. The meeting was also addressed by the Revs. W. Heal, Kiddle of Petersfield, W. Eyres of and Mr. G. Warren, of Bramshott. The attendance at all the services was good, and all seemed pleased.
