PETERSFIELD

CORN EXCHANGE

Mr. Henry Brown has been delighting numerous audiences during the past week with his pictorial and musical entertainments, illustrating a voyage "Round the World," and we may safely say a better entertainment has never visited Petersfield. The scenes are artistically painted. Mr. Brown as "Guide, Philosopher, and Friend," keeps up a running description and humorous commentary on the subjects as they pass along, and the panorama is further enhanced by vocal and instrumental music. The whole concludes with a very beautiful scene, the Fairy Fountain, in which volumes of real water are made to represent all kinds of precious stones; this has a most dazzling effect, and send the audiences home instructed, pleased, and puzzled.
