PETERSFIELD.—HORSE RUN AWAY.—On Monday afternoon, Mr. Henry Monk had let a horse and chaise to go to Alton; as his man was returning, near Hedge Corner, the horse took fright and ran away, came in contact with the Trooper turnpike gate, broke it open, and continued running, at a fearful rate into Petersfield, when turning the corner near the Bell Inn, the chaise was dashed against a post, smashing it to pieces, and throwing the driver, with great violence, into the road. Neither man nor horse received any serious injury.
