PETERSFIELD.
Agent—Miss DUPLOCK.
ACCIDENT.—On Monday last, as the Hambledon hounds were about to throw off at Ditcham, an accident occurred to the ‟Whip,” which cast a damp on the pleasures of the day. His horse by some means jostled that of one of the sportsmen, when the latter horse threw out his heels and struck the poor fellow on the leg with such violence as to break it.
ANOTHER ACCIDENT.—On Wednesday last a young lad, son of Mr. Holdaway, in the Spain, received a severe kick from a bullock which was being driven through the street. It appears that the boy incautiously- took hold of the animal's tail, when it dealt him a violent kick on the mouth, throwing him backwards on the pavement with such violence that he was completely stunned, and remained insensible for several hours, but we are glad to hear he is now progressing favourably.
