A SATISFACTORY INSPECTION OF THE VOLUNTEERS.— At nine o’clock this day the 12th Hants (Petersfield) the 21st (Alton) Rifle Volunteers will meet upon the Recreation Ground, Liss Green, for the annual inspection by the Hon. Lieut.-Colonel Colville, which cannot fail to afford a treat to the inhabitants of the parish and neighbourhood, and at the same time add a novelty of no common interest to the annals of this rural locality. If we may be allowed a suggestion, we would observe that, at the conclusion of the inspection, it would be well In keeping with the season if eleven were chosen from each corps, so as to conclude the day upon the ground with a friendly match of our truly national game of cricket.
