LECTURE.—On Friday evening, the 20th inst., a very interesting lecture on ‟Australia,” was delivered at the National School-room by the Rev. A. Hore, rector of Calbourne, I. W. The lecture, (which was entirely extempore), embraced the discovery and colonisation of the country, its physical features, climate, &c., and was listened to with deep attention. The attendance, owing to the extreme inclemency of the weather, was rather scanty.  The thanks of the audience were warmly accorded to the lecturer on the motion of the Rev. J. M. Sumner.
